Our client is an international events, conferences and exhibitions firm. They run hundreds of successful events across the world covering numerous industries. They are now looking for a Senior Sales Manager to join their team in Hong Kong to oversee the revenue generation for one of their most successful annual events.
The Sales Manager will report in to the Director and be responsible for the profitability and revenue generation of one of their most successful annual events. They will be accountable for developing and implementing a sales and marketing plan encompasses the selling of floor space, advertising and sponsorship which reaches out to clients internationally with a key focus on the Asia region. The Sales Manager will oversee one subordinate locally as well as international sales agents, ensuring they are adhering to an overall sales strategy and achieving the set targets. In addition they will manage core key accounts and devise a plan for new business development to achieve individual targets. Furthermore they will provide marketing and competitive analysis and look at segmentation figures to organically grow the business. They will work closely with other departments to ensure marketing is executed effectively and client’s accounts are serviced correctly throughout the event lifecycle. The Sales Manager will forge relationships and work with key industry and association groups to ensure ongoing support for the events.
The successful candidate will be degree qualified with at least 7 years of sales experience, preferably in exhibitions, conferences and events or within a B2B sales environment. They will have at least 2 years of sales management experience, managing a small team and /or sales agents with strong exposure to developing and implementing a sales strategy. Ideally the candidate will have some regional exposure. The successful candidate will be goal driven with proven ability to achieve sales targets. In addition they are strong in developing new business segments and developing relationships with key accounts. They are well organised, can work under pressure and with minimal supervision. They are energetic, confident, with excellent communication skills. Native English required and an additional Asian language preferred. Candidate should be eligible to work in Hong Kong. Travel – both regionally and internationally is required for this role
